Kickstarter cancelled our launch. But God had bigger plans....
When I created The Talking Jesus Doll for my kids, I had no idea it would become a global mission.
But God did...
My three young daughters' favorite toys were stuffed animals. They were with them morning, noon and night - everywhere they went.
One day I realized this was a missed opportunity. Their toys had no spiritual value. Why hadn't we gotten them a plush Jesus that spoke Bible verses?
I felt like a bad parent - until I searched and found out that it didn't exist. Was God showing me something...
I was a software exec who knew nothing about how to make stuff there and get it here.
But we created a design that we liked and contacted hundreds of companies to make a prototype.
Most didn't speak English. The ones who did told us we were too small. We found two that agreed to make prototypes. One nailed it. ✨
So, we wired our kids college savings to a company in half way around the world that we never met.
My faith was the size of a mustard seed. My friends said my brain was the size of one, too...
They arrived! 🙏 Now we had to sell these. My MBA from Shark Tank University said to use Kickstarter.
Kickstarter approved us. We launched and nearly hit our funding goal in 3 days!
But this was at the height of cancel culture - and Kickstarter decided to kill our project.
I never knew "Love your neighbor" was so offensive. Oh, the trauma!
Now we have a barn full of dolls and no way to sell them. That's when God took over...
Turns out, cable news thought this was newsworthy. And Newsmax wanted to put us on TV.
It was 6:41 AM on Saturday. We told our story. And the orders came in like fish in Simon's net on the other side of the boat!
We thought we were done when God raised us up in ways we couldn't imagine. That was just the start...
It was the reviews that got to us. Thousands of 5⭐reviews. It wasn't the rating, but the stories.

That December, Fox & Friends had our doll on to discuss putting Christ back in Christmas. 💥Boom
It was Newsmax x10. Thousands of orders. Christmas break became a frantic family fulfillment festivity!
In our first year, we went from cancelled to the #1 Christian toy. But God wasn't done yet...
Our mission is the Great Commission - to make disciples of all kids on all nations. (Mt 28:20)
It's a big goal but we have already seen that with God, all things are possible. (Mt 19:26)
And, we are grateful for the amazing grand/parents that value the teachings of Jesus...

- Those who hear and follow his words have a rock foundation (Mt 7:24)
- Whoever teaches his words is called great in Heaven (Mt 5:19)
